The OMC Captain's Run is open to all members and guests.
OMC Captain’s Run is a “GO”. KSU 9:00am at Burger King on Hopyard Rd in Pleasanton. The run will take Mines Rd, to Patterson, Turlock, Snelling, Merced Falls and up Priest Grade stopping at LaGrange for lunch. Continuing up the majestic foothills over the Wards Ferry Bridge to Tuolumne City, Twain Harte and Columbia, ending in Sonora. About 200 miles of narrow and twisty pavement. Many stops planned for fuel, photos, and other points of interest. KSU 9:00am. Call Dan on Friday if questions.
This final route is a little shorter, better paved and includes a historical restaurant that serves hamburgers and other "real" food. The menu from the previous route's lunch stop was mostly beer and pub grub.
Setting out from BK at KSU 9am, and, with luck, arriving in Sonora sometime before sundown.
Depending on how the group is feeling after lunch, I may add a side trip to Twain Harte and Columbia State Park.
